You can code your own game in a few days!

Why do you need the ‘Premium’ package ?

  • Because you can ask anything related to the upgrade to a new cocos2d version.
  • Because you will receive code updates. Sapus Tongue is where I test all the new cocos2d for iPhone features.

  • The paypal account I purchase your source code is support@stockicon.net .But the email host server is closed. So please send download instructions to running727@gmail.com. Thank you very much.

  • Hi Running727, I’ve just sent you the download instructions to your email. If you have not received them yet, please, let me know. I’ll send them to you again.

  • I really want to buy the Sapus Tongue source code but sadly I don’t have the money… I really need to learn scrolling both tile map and parallax. Are there any resources out there that teach you that? I really need help. If I had the money I would buy the Sapus Tongue source code in a heart beat. If you know of any resources to teach me both kinds of scrolling, please, please tell me.

  • @riq: LOL. That is where I have been trying but they all are vague.

  • Hey there, I’ve just purchased your source code and when you get a chance please send me the download instructions. Thanks

  • Hi Douglas,
You should have received an email with the download instructions. If you have not received yet, please let me know. I’ll send it to you again.

  • Hello,
do the current Sapus Tonge sources make use of the new features in Cocos2D 0.99 ?

    Thanks in advance,
    R.

  • @Ricardo: Yes, Sapus Tongue v1.9.2 uses, cocos2d v0.99.0rc.
It also uses the new CCSpriteFrameCache class, for the menus and buttons. The menu Texture Atlas was generated with Zwoptex Spritesheet editor. It uses Chipmunk v5.1, and the CCCrossFadeTransition transition.

  • Hi Riq

After using Cocos2D in my two games I become more convinced by the features Cocos2d provide and its easiness of use. Keeping these things in my mind I’m going to purchase Sapus Tongue source code. For its definite reasons, I’m sure it will help me a lot.

    Thanks

  • I purchased the source code and within one hour got the download links. Prompt response. Thanks

  • Hi

I want to know how easy/hard is it to build levels without buying the levelsvg? I may go for it the future, but don’t want to be limited if it absolutely need both.

    Thanks

  • @greensquid: In the LevelSVG page, you will find a “LevelSVG preview” package. It contains detailed information regarding how to build levels similar to the ones from “LevelSVG Mini Games”. IMHO, it is really easy to build levels using LevelSVG.
You can also download “LevelSVG Mini Games” from the App Store.

    -> LevelSVG Mini games: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/levelsvg-mini-games/id364372505?mt=8

  • I purchased Sapus Tongue source code and LevelSGV together yesterday but didn’t get any response. Please check out my payment and let me know hot to access your products. Thank you for your speedy reply in advance.

  • Hi Minsoo,

Yes, I received your payment. Yesterday I sent you 3 email. Could you check your spam folder ? Do you have any other email account ?
    I apologize for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: I’ve just sent another email, this time without any URL to avoid spam filters. Did you receive it ? Thanks.

  • Hi RIQ,

Sorry, I meant to say, if I brought Sapus Tongue Source, how easy would it be to make the level.. I looked at the levelsvg and it looks nice, but it’s not something I want to get right away.. maybe in the future.. so how hard is it to make a level just using the sapus Tongue source?

    Thanks

  • Hi Greensquid,

What kind of level are you thinking of ? Sapus Tongue doesn’t come with any “level editor/parser”, so you will have to make the level manually.

  • Hi,

Well that was just it.. how hard is it to make a level manually. If I wanted to make a little Mario clone or something? A couple of platforms to jump on, a few bricks to destroy and give coins .. could levelsvg do this?

    Thanks

  • Hello RIQ! It’s Minsoo.

Unfortunately I’ve not received your mail yet. Nothing even in spam folder. So I let you know another email address.

    chunnjang@xxx
    chunnjang@xxx
    chunnjang@xxx

Please send your emial via all the above emails in case. I’ll wait for them. Thank you.

  • @greensquid: Yes, you could do that with LevelSVG. I recommend trying the “LevelSVG Mini Games” and taking a look at “LevelSVG Preview” (mentioned in a previous message).

  • Hi Minsoo,

I’ve just sent you an email to your email addresses. Also, I’ve edited your message to prevent spam.
Please, let me know if you have received a “test” mail. My email is: ricardo.quesada@sapusmedia.com

  • @riq: I only can afford one of the packages.. Sapus looks the best for a beginner and would be easiest to release a few games.. but how hard is it to make the levels. Is there any sort of package which you can get the LevelSVG @ basic price (like Sapus) .. I want to be able to make games, make money from them and then buy the next update down the road.. that’s the easiest thing for me.

  • @greensquid: What kind of levels are you trying to do ? Could you send me an email: ricardo.quesada@sapusmedia.com ?

  • Have purchased premium source but was forced to make paypal an echeck wihich I hate! How long do you think before canget a download link?
    Thanks, can’t wait!

  • I emailed you the other day, but no reply.

  • @GreenSquid: I haven’t received your email. I’ve just sent you an email to your address.

  • @Joe:
Thank you for the purchase. Paypal suggested me to wait until the transaction is complete. It usually takes between 3 and 5 days to complete it. If you can send me (ricardoquesada@gmail.com) info that proves that you are not an scammer, I’ll send you the download link now.
    I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Hi^^
i’d like to use both of Sapus Tongue Source Code and LevelSVG Premium package.
Does LevelSVG Premium package include Sapus Tongue Source Code?
    or buy separate product…?

  • @bigsam
LevelSVG doesn’t include Sapus Tongue. But if you buy Sapus Tongue (Basic, Updates or Premium) you will get a $100 discount in LevelSVG.

  • Hi,

I’m interested in purchasing your source code but I’m not decided on the package. Will you accept upgrade from Basic to Premium if I decide to upgrade later on? I assume the upgrade means that I will pay the difference.
Another question, I’m bit in a hurry, if I send you the money now what kind of guarantee may I give you in exchange of instant source code access? I guess you do not accept credit cards…

    Thanks,
    –Josef

  • @Josef Hi, I’ve just sent you the answers by email. regards.

  • When you say, “cannot make a clone game”, are you saying that I cannot use my own art, sound, etc… give a completely different storyline, add new features? If so, then what is the purpose of buying this?
If I were to purchase this, I would want to use my own art, music, storyline, add different features and game play.
So I cannot make a game using this framework which will be somewhat similar, just in the fact my art will be swinging around and flying through the air, with different stuff?
I am confused on this, please elaborate.

  • By “cannot make a clone game” I want to prevent from having dozens of similar swing-your-hero game on the App Store.
IMHO, these are good reasons to purchase Sapus Tongue: http://www.sapusmedia.com/sources/#tab2 :)
Please, let me know if you have further questions.

  • baked goods games

  • Hi Scott,

You should have received the download link. Please let me know if you have not received yet.

  • Hey riq,

I purchsed basic sapus not long ago. Is it possible to upgrade my plan to premium and receive update by just paying $150 more?

  • Hi Daniel,

Yes you can. I’ll send you an email with the instructions.

  • Riq -

I’m considering buying either the Updates or Premium version of Sapus Tongue and had a question. What happens once the initial 6 months period is over? Do you offer an extension?

    Thanks,
    James

  • @James Sun: You can renew any of them for another 6 months for $50.
Don’t hesitate in contacting me if you have further questions ( ricardo.quesada@sapusmedia.com )

  • Hi Riq, i am interested in buying ur code. A quick question, i am getting the basic package and see if i need an upgrade later on. So i can upgrade my package anytime? no limitations of when to upgrade?

  • @vsching: Yes you can upgrade to “updates” or “premium” at any time. No limitations of when to upgrade.
Don’t hesitate in contacting me if you have further questions ( ricardo.quesada@sapusmedia.com )

  • thanks riq, i got my download link already. :)

  • Hi riq, does the Sapus Tongue source support high res graphics (for the iPhone 4 resolution)? And if it doesn’t, do you plan on adding it in the future? Thank you!

  • @benoit Sapus Tongue v2.2 doesn’t support Hi Res. v2.3 will include better iPad support, and Hi Res support is planned for v2.4.
Don’t hesitate in contacting me if you have further questions: ricardo.quesada@sapusmedia.com

  • Hi, do you have roadmap for next few releases of sourcecode ?
    Thanks

  • I’m very new in Obj-C and Cocos2d. Now I’m trying to make my first simple game I have some problem with pausing game when I press Home button. I did find this project and interrested in buying source code, but….
Downloaded lite version of the game in App Store started it, and found it doesn’t support pausing the game when user press Home button. If you press Home and then come back to the game it starts at the begin. :( (((
May be I downloaded old version?

  • @joep99: The next release will include: Full iPad version. The iPad version that is included in ST v2.3 is 95% finished. Then I will release a High-Res version for iPhone4. Then I’ll support Apple’s Game Center.

@Andrey: Sapus Tongue v2.3 supports multitasking. Your device must be iPhone 3GS or newer and you should install iOS 4.0. Sapus Tongue v2.3 is in the App Store in “Review” mode, so I expect that I will be ready for download in a few days.

  • This helps, thank you. I just bought the updates, will we see these features in the next 6 mo ?
